The Effects of Job Training Satisfaction on Customer Orientation of Care Workers£º Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Self-esteem

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the moderating effect of self-esteem in this relationship between job training satisfaction and customer orientation of care workers. For this study, we surveyed 300 care workers who participated in job training and are working in Seoul city and Gyeonggi province, and analyzed 200 collected questionnaires out of 240. The result of the research is as follows. First, generally the level of job training satisfaction, self-esteem and customer orientation levels of care workers showed higher scores as average 4.11, 4.50 and 4.61 points respectively. Second, `skill of treatment benefit` and `institutions and related laws of care workers` among satisfactions of five job training curriculums and self-esteem of care workers had a significant influence on customer orientation. Third, as for the relationship between job training satisfaction and customer orientation of care workers, the moderating effect of self-esteem showed a statistically meaningful result. The result showed that the moderating effect of self-esteem in this relationship between `understanding of dementia`, `elderly people`s safety management and exercise` and `skill of treatment benefits` among satisfactions of five job training curriculums and customer orientation of care workers is statistically significant. According to the results, this study proposed practice and policy suggestions to increase the level of job training satisfaction, self-esteem and build customer orientation of care workers through the improvement of job training curriculums and working environment of care workers.
